Yeah Buddy!  With my first trip ever to the soon-to-gone Texas Stadium I managed to will the Cowboys to a sloppy, but important win over the Buccaneers.  Good stuff, right?  I'm thinking I'll use this momentum to attempt doing the same for Tony Romo's healing process so that he can come back and replace Dead Arm Johnson.  That guy has got to GO.  Now.  Or all will be lost.

Anyhow, here's an EP to help get the week started.  Enjoy.

:It's A Musical - Bad Day:  While I hope your day doesn't end with you having something in common with the title of this song, I do think that this light hearted effort with its electro-pop ways and sweet sounding vocals would certainly help if it does.  As should be expected, such easily accessible loveliness hails from Sweden.  Be sure to seek out the duo's new LP, The Music Makes Me Sick, tomorrow via the always great Morr Music.

:The Western States - Oh World:  "I don't want to turn down my stereo/It's taking me places/Some are new/Some I know"  Aside from its wonderful almost-dreamy style of sound, the main draw for me here is all the nifty little lyrics that liter it.  Sure, none of them are exactly what I would call original or anything, but they do well in putting a smile on my face.  Painted Birds Flying In The Orange Mirror Sun is out now on Firebird Field Recordings.

:Frances - All The While:  You know those times when you see a band that doesn't have heavy music at all, but the way they play their instruments makes it seem as if they rock like no other?  Well, this band is like that the opposite of that.  This gem is a real thumper for a pop tune, but the violin and pretty vocals give it a really soft edge.  It's a bit strange, but I like it.  A lot.  All The While is available now on Gigantic Music.

:Telepathe - Devil's Trident:  Here's an act that was produced by the seemingly everywhere man, David Sitek of TV On The Radio.  Straight from the get go you're sort of thrown right into the thick of things, but if you give it a moment with a good pair of headphones I think you'll find that it's a fairly beautiful piece of electronic music.  Now jump on over to Morek Music to pick up the band's latest 7" single.

:Joker's Daughter - Worm's Head:  It may just be me, but everything in this gem feels comes off as very whimsical, which is great since I think it's a perfect fit for the cooler weather and pre-holiday season happenings.  Hopefully you will feel inclined to agree once it hits your ears.  Make a note to remember The Last Laugh when it gets released by Team Love next February.
