Well, I believe the Austin Film Festival has come to a close for me.  I didn't see a lot, but the majority of what I did catch was good enough for me to ramble about, so watch out for a little rundown later this week that has my thoughts on Slumdog Millionaire, Six Gun, Synecdoche, New York and The Great Buck Howard.  In music related news today, Nous Non Plus has readied a new full length.  Way back when I was in college radio I remember getting this sensual portrait of one of the members (the one on the left) smoking a cigarette.  I was already in love with their music when I got it, but had I not I certainly would have been inspired to at least check them out.  You will want Menagerie when it's released in February on Aeronaut Records.  Enjoy.

:Nous Non Plus - Fantome Dur (Tuff Ghosts):  Those of you who are too hip for your own good have probably already noticed the title and realized that this is a song that was originally done by the Unicorns.  That's right, the 60s pop loving, French speaking trio went after one of the best songs off of Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?.  Sounds like a stretch, I know, but I think you'll like how they kept the basic jist of the song and only added a few of their nifty twists on top of it.  Feel free to exhale and start dancing.

As if giving you the song as a download wasn't enough, I present to you a stripped down version of the same tune done by the band in what can only be described as a well-lit apartment.
