So far
the Austin Film Festival has been going well.
I don't necessarily have enough time to write full
reviews of everything, but I do plan on doing a sort
of rundown when it's all said and done. How
about you? Anyone go and see something cool?
OK, here's what you came for. Read on.

Terrance
Howard has been replaced by Don Cheadle in the upcoming
Iron Man 2.
Two movies that I was highly anticipating, The
Soloist and Defiance, have been delayed by
Paramount until next year.
Word has it that Brett Ratner has signed on to direct
the long-gestating remake of Conan.
Warner Bros. has supposedly canned anything to do with
Grayskull, the He-Man flick that had been
under development.
A fourth entry into the Bourne series is certainly
happening, as George Nolfi has been hired to write a
script. Also, Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon have
both agreed to return.
Kevin Smith has said that once he shoots Red State
he will move onto a currently untilled sci-fi comedy.
It looks as if F. Gary Gray will be Frank Darabont's
replacement on Law Abiding Citizen.
Brad Pitt and George Miller are teaming up to adapt
Homer's The Odyssey into a futuristic sci-fi
epic. Sounds bizarre, right?
Peter Weir's next film will be The Way Back,
which is about soldiers and their journey to freedom
after they escape a Soviet prison.
Work has supposedly already begun on a sequel to the
upcoming Twilight.
Ridley Scott has acquired the rights to The Forever
War. It would be his first sci-fi flick in
over two decades.
Sam Raimi has said that nothing is ready to go on the
Spider-Man movies, but he is anxious for the
opportunity to direct and make something interesting.
For some reason a sequel to Wall Street is
currently being scripted.
Pascal Laugier has been hired to write and direct a
reboot of the Hellraiser series.
