For those of you that love
movies, I feel bad for your wallets this weekend. Sex Drive
(there's a full review in the Film section!) is super hilarious, W
(also has a full review in the Film section!) is utterly amazing and the
early word on Max Payne hasn't exactly been overly terrible.
Can you say triple feature!? I hope not, because that would just be
crazy beyond all reason. Now, on with a new piece of material from the
Apples In Stereo that I stumbled across last night over at the always great
You Ain't No Picasso. I have no idea if you should expect to see it on
an upcoming album or anything, but I can say that it certainly deserves to
be given some sort of physical release. Feel free to get on with
figuring that out. Enjoy.

(Baby It's) So Cold:
"You know that it's all right/Under the starry night"
While it doesn't carry the same sort of elaborate production
that some of their previous effort have, this gem is still a
blast with a super simplistic approach to both the sound and
the songwriting. It's clear that they just want you to
kick back and have a good time when listening to their
music, so I say just go on and grant their wish. After
all, it is Friday!
Energy was one
of my favorite songs to come out of 2007, so here's a little
reminder of how great it is. What do you guys think of
Elijah Wood's work behind the camera?
