Just so you know, this won't be a very long ramble.  I just wanted to mention a couple of things about the film.

The first item of business is that Sex Drive is about a young man named Ian (Josh Zuckerman).  He, like all virgins, is desperate to lose the despair that comes for a teenager with such a title, so he beefs up his online profile and gets a hot chick a few states away to tell him that she's ready and willing to do the nasty - all he has to do is show up at a certain time.  You would think that such a task wouldn't be too difficult to accomplish, but things are complicated by two of his friends (one in which he has feelings for) in need of an adventure and a brother who refuses to let him borrow his awesome 69' GTO to make the trip.  Does he let loose, steal a car and go for the girl?  Or does he stay at home and do nothing?  One of those would be super boring, so I'm guessing you can pick which decision he makes.

The next bit worth mentioning is that you should know I had no plans at all to review this movie when I sat down in the theater this past Tuesday night.  None!  Sure, the early word had been mostly positive and the trailers had caused me to chuckle a couple of times, but I still didn't have much faith in it being worth an extra chunk of my time - even if it was to warn you to stay away.  Seriously, how could I think otherwise?  The innuendo in the poster alone had me worried.

Of course, I was so very wrong to doubt it, and that brings me to my last comment - Sex Drive is a poor man's Superbad on a road trip.  The humor is a little more over the top and the script is definitely less developed (which is why it's not quite as good), but the entire flick drips with the kind of charm and heart that every movie-goer deserves.  I mean, believe it or not, it's actually a can't miss effort or pure hilarity.  Go see it as soon as possible!
