For my good friends in La
Snacks, tonight is the night that they officially release the Newfangled
EP. If you plan on being out and about then I implore you to make an
appearance at the Mohawk to see them perform with Transmography and Follow
That Bird. It's only $6 and you get a copy of the EP! That's
good stuff. Anyhow, yesterday the wife asked me to put together a
heavier mix for her to listen to before rollerderby practice, and it kind of
put me in the mood to end the week on a rocking note. Helping me pull
off such shenanigans is the Orion Experience, who have the lucky (or not,
maybe?) chance of being one of Perez Hilton's favorite bands. If you
like what you hear then I recommend picking up the Heartbreaker EP,
which is out now. Enjoy.

"Very positive, high energy musical experiences." I
tend to feel that most musicians provide a whole lot of
nothing when asked about exactly what they're trying to
create, but that quote from the lead singer of this group is
as accurate as it gets. This really is just three and
half minutes of purposely catchy songwriting, pounding drums
and driving guitars that mean to leave you feeling good
about the day and ready to give anything a go. Feel
free to let loose.
I went to
Youtube expecting to find some more rocking tunes, but what
I got instead was a little something from way out in left
field. It's called Blood And Money, and you
should check it out.
