Hey!  If you're in Austin (or not, I guess) you should check out HAAM.  At a broadcast yesterday I spent a chunk of time talking with one of their volunteers, and I ended up impressed with their mission.  I mean, how can I not when they're trying to get local artists some health insurance!?  That's good stuff.  In addition to adopting a preferred charity over the course of Tuesday, I also had the pleasure of being sent an invitation to cover Ben Folds when he comes to Stubb's later this month, which then reminded me that he just put out a new record titled Way To Normal a couple of weeks ago.  I haven't heard it all yet, so if you have then feel free to chime in on whether or not it's one of his better releases.  Below is a track that I'm rather late on posting.  Enjoy.

:Ben Folds - You Don't Know Me (Featuring Regina Spektor):  "Why the fuck would you want me back?/Baby it's because/You don't know me"  This is one deceiving little track.  At first it reels you in with a big, bouncy arrangement and the presence of one of today's most lovely songbirds, Regina Spektor.  Then, as if to super re-emphasize the point of this song, the onion loses a few layers to reveal that it's really just another one of those classic numbers full of Ben Folds bitterness.  Good thing I like my pop with a touch of trickery and a notice of ignorance.  And stuff.

I usually get so caught up with Ben's more quirky, sarcastic tracks that I forget he has quite a few beautiful numbers in his catalog.  Check him out doing Landed on Letterman.
