I'm the worst when it comes to
keeping up with the latest celebrity gossip and news (mostly because I don't
really care), but this news of Scarlett Johansson marrying Ryan Reynolds is
just depressing. I mean, she's incredible and he's the guy who was
once in a TV show about a pizza place. Let's figure out a way to veto
that shit. Alright, as you think that over, check out the new Blitzen
Trapper song that I found over at My Old Kentucky Blog. It's
apparently an original track that was written for the soundtrack to Choke,
which also has material from Nicole Atkins And The Sea, the Natural History,
Death Cab For Cutie and many more. I've heard good things about the
flick, so maybe the stellar collection of tunes put together to support it
will make us all go see it. Enjoy.
:Blitzen
Trapper - Wicked:
I really have to go on and give these guys credit for
seemingly doing all that they can to constantly push out a
variety of sounds. For example, you could just
consider their singles over the last year or so and see that
they've provided classic rock, Bob Dylan-esque folk and,
now, an oddly edgy rock piece that feels lifted straight out
of the mid-90s. Such wavering tendencies is probably
frustrating for some, but on my end I'm loving that I have
no idea as to what I should expect. Here's hoping they
keep up these shenanigans.
Wild
Mountain Nation is one of my favorite songs by Blitzen
Trapper, so I'm a little surprised that I don't remember
ever seeing this video. I blame the moon.
