Did any of you get a weird error when trying to visit the site yesterday? I kept coming across a message about the server while I was at slaving away at the office, but I didn't see such a thing when I got home, and I'd like to know if I should throw my work computer down the stairs.  Know what I mean?  OK, with my final "regular" post of the year I'm going to give you something from a band that I've only ever casually liked, Nada Surf.  That totally isn't anything against them - I've just only ever paid attention to the singles.  Until now.  Sort of.  What awaits you below is actually an unreleased b-side that the good people over at Barsuk sent me to get you hyped up about the Nada Surf Vinyl Box Set (1994-2008).  It's out today.  I like vinyl (hint hint).  Enjoy.

:Nada Surf - No Quick Fix:  This is a catchy and fairly forward pop rock tune that probably isn't going to sweep you off your feet and make you a fan if you aren't already, but I think that it's a nice indication of how solid the band has been throughout all of these years.  I mean, how many acts can claim such consistency?  Now if only I knew what album this ended up being cut from.  Anyone care to make an awesome Nada Surf-informed guess?

I have no clue as to why I have yet to say anything about the Lucky album that the group put out earlier this year, but I'm happy to be mentioning it now.  This song is called Whose Authority.
