Can I get a high five for
three-day weekends? I mean, my schedule for the most part of this year
has had plenty of them, but for the last month or so I've been so amazingly
busy that all of this weekend felt like a giant relief. Again, high
fives all around for such wonders of the world. Alright, it's not too
often that I give you guys consecutive rambles on something hip hop related,
but with the help of the Metermaids that's exactly what's happening. I
wrote about this trio (made up of Swell, Sentence and Matt Stine) once in
regards to their rather good self titled EP that came out some time ago, so
I'm pretty happy that their back with something new that's bigger and
better. Their full length, Nightlife, for 27 Sound will be out
on June 10, which is just three days after my birthday. Enjoy.

- Feel Alive:
Admittedly, this isn't as raucous as what I've shared in the
past or even like the number that it's in the video below.
That's OK though, as the act's level of production has taken
a step up and the songwriting (at least in this gem, anyway)
is geared towards a theme that's a bit more mature. If
anything I'd say it reminds me a lot of last week's Saturday
Knights track in that it's slick and full of the sort of
sound that you want populating your summer playlists.
Now turn it up and kick back.
Funk
Terrorist is an awesome song on its own, but I think the
video that Tim Young put together makes it the kind of jam
that you want to run next door and tell your neighbor about.
