The good people over at Beggars/Matador have asked me to inquire whether or not those of you who reside here in Austin would be interested in joining their snazzy street team.  So, which of you is willing to make the easy decision to trade a little time every week for free shows and music?  Email me if you do and I'll pass it on!  Now, allow me to share something brand spanking new from Kristoffer Ragnstam, who released one of my favorite songs (it's on his Myspace and is called Beauty) last year.  His new album, Wrong Side Of The Room, for the seemingly always solid label of Bluhammock is set to be released on August 19, so be sure to mark it down if you happen to like your Swedish pop with a bit of a kick.  Enjoy.

:Kristoffer Ragnstam - Swing That Tambourine:  As is the case with everything I've heard from Kristoffer, this is pop music at its most epic.  I think it's beyond amazing that the guy manages to take what is essentially a simple little tune and turn it into the sort of infectious gem that would make a mime want to break out in passionate sing-a-long.  It's going to be awhile before you can get yourself to stop listening to this.

Here is a really great video for Breakfast By The Mattress.  The way that they edited this thing to make it seem like one uncut piece is just crazy and must be seen, so make sure you watch it!
