Sorry I
never got around to posting up a review of Son Of
Rambow. I did actually get to catch a
screening of it and I very much recommend seeing it
if it's playing near you. The same goes for
Speed Racer and Redbelt, both of which I
also caught over the course of last week. Good
stuff!
Now, here's what you came for. Read on.

The Rundown -
JJ Abrams
has said that while there are some good ideas for a
sequel to Cloverfield, he really isn't too
interested in doing one.
Michael Moore has denied reports that his next
documentary is a sequel to Fahrenheit 9/11.
He says it's more of an examination of America as an
empire.
Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way group has scooped up the
rights to Fleming, which is a biopic about James
Bond-creator Ian Fleming.
George Clooney has signed on to star in Men Who Stare
At Goats. The story is said to follow of an
army battalion that's made up of people with paranormal
powers.
Rumor has it that James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) has
penned a script for Sony that could be used to shoot
Spider-Man four and five at one time.
George
Lucas let it slip that he would maybe like to do a fifth
Indiana Jones with Shia LeBeauf as the lead and
Harrison Ford in a supporting role.
Jason Reitman (Juno) has stated that his next
project will be Up In The Air. The plot
will supposedly follow a man who fires people for a
living and finds solace in the culture of "Airworld,"
which is made up of pressurized cabins and anonymous
hotel rooms.
It would appear that Jonah Hill didn't want to bother
with Transformers 2 so that he could pen the
script for a feature length version of 21 Jump Street.
The original TV series, which starred Johnny Depp,
centered around a young bunch of undercover cops who
infiltrated high schools and fought crime.
Matthew McConaughey has taken one more step to making
sure that he never appears in a movie again with a
shirt. Anchor will distribute Surfer, Dude,
which is about, of course, a surfer who is experiencing
an existential crisis.
The Weinsteins are all set to turn Fraggle Rock
into a live action musical.
Steven Spielberg will supposedly begin shooting his
Abraham Lincoln biopic in 2009.
Even though many of you wanted Robert Downey Jr. to
replace Javier Bardem in the Nine, it looks as if
it will instead be Daniel Day-Lewis.
The premiere of Hancock was recently canceled so
that the film could do some re-shoots. There is
also a rumor swirling that it keeps getting slapped with
an R rating instead of the studio's preferred PG-13.
