I'm for
sure planning on catching a screening of Son Of
Rambow this week, so expect a review of that.
I'm also going to try and get into a couple of
others, but I'm not sure if that will work out just
yet.

The Rundown -
As it turns
out, Jonah Hill landing a part in Transformers 2
was too good to be true. No word yet on who will
be Shia LaBeouf's sidekick.
Gore Verbinski has signed on to direct and produce and
adaptation of the video game Bioshock. For
those that don't know, the game revolved around a pilot
who crashes and discovers an underwater city known as
Rapture.
New Line has snatched up the rights to Dan Mintner:
Badass For Hire. The film, which is suppose to
pay homage to those great action films from the 80s, is
said to deal with a highly decorated soldier on a quest
to save his mentor.
James McTeigue will follow-up the Wachowski's Ninja
Assassin with a film titled Revelation.
The story will follow a female journalist who is
investigating a series of bizarre murders.
Jon Favreau recently noted that more than likely an
Iron Man sequel would deal with Tony Stark's battle
with alcoholism. This storyline in the comics was
known as Demon In A Bottle.
For some
reason a script for a Donnie Darko sequel has
been written. Supposedly it will be called S.
Darko and will center around Donnie's little sister,
Samantha, and her dealings with the same visions and
such during a road trip with her friend.
Millennium Films is planning on doing a live-action
version of the age-old character know as Buck Rogers.
Despite rumors, Frank Miller is involved.
Rumor has it that Matthew McConaughey is the front
runner for the role of Captain America.
Adam McKay has noted that he and Will Ferrell are highly
interested in doing Anchorman 2.
Tom Cruise and Paramount seemed to have kissed and made
up, as talks are underway to maybe do Mission
Impossible IV.
Word is that Matthew Vaughn is no longer attached to
direct Thor for Marvel.
Speaking of Thor, Brad Pitt is rumored to be the
preferred choice for the role of the hammer-toting hero.
Bruce Willis is being rumored as the guy John Singleton
is looking at to play Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, the
leader of the A-Team.
Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington are currently trying to
get together to do a film called The 28th Amendment,
which would deal with a President who discovers that the
United States is actually run by a secret organization.
Ellen Page has landed the role of Jane Eyre.
The literary adaptation is about a young governess who
falls in love with her employer and discovers some of
his dark secrets.
It's probably only a rumor, but supposedly a
MacGuyver movie is in the planning stages.
Samuel L. Jackson has signed on to star in
Unthinkable, which is about hidden nuclear weapons
that are about to go off in the United States.
Ron Perlman will join Bunraku as the villain.
The highly stylized flick already has Josh Hartnett,
Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson signed on and ready to
go.
