Yeah, I'm tired.  Here's the weekly rundown.

- The Rundown -

Ted Elliott (Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Mask Of Zorro) has signed on to pen a full length feature based on The Lone Ranger.  Jerry Bruckheimer will produce.

Steve Zahn and Timothy Olyphant will be now be joined by Milla Jovovich and Kiele Sanchez (Lost) in the thriller known as The Perfect Getaway.  The David Twohy-directed effort centers around a couple who go on their honeymoon and end up meeting two crazed murderers.

Josh Duhamel, Jon Heder, Anjelica Houston, Dax Sheperd, Will Arnett and Kristen Bell have all signed on to appear in When In Rome.  The plot, which centers around Bell's character, deals with a lonely museum curator who attracts many suitors after stealing enchanted coins from the Trevi Fountain.

Guy Ritchie appears to be ready to follow up Revolver with a trilogy of films.  The first, which will star Thandie Newton, Gerald Butler and Jeremy Piven, is set to be called RocknRolla.

Sigourney Weaver will appear next to Tim Allen in Crazy On The Outside, which is about a man who gets released from prison and tries to get his parole office to date him.

Michael Dougherty has signed on to direct Calling All Robots.  No word on any plot details yet, but the performance capture film is said to be of the sci-fi variety.

Tobey Maguire has acquired the rights to Afterburn, which is about treasure hunters in a post-apocolyptic world where the Easter Hemisphere has been destroyed by a solar flare.  As of now there is no script or director attached.

Due to a scheduling conflict Maggie Gyllenhaal has dropped out of Pippa.  Maria Bello will replace her in the story of a woman dealing with her husband's decision to leave her.

Dreamworks is trying to get a movie called C.O.D. going.  The plot would center around a bike messenger who is forced to deliver three bombs around Manhattan or his family will be harmed.

As if the first Crank wasn't ridiculous enough, the people behind it have decided to take things to a new level in Crank 2.  The movie, which will star Jason Stratham, is said to follow Chevy Chelios and his quest to get his heart back after it's taken and replaced by an artificial one that requires jolts of electricity to keep working.

James Cromwell (Babe) has been cast as George Bush in Oliver Stone's George W. Bush biopic, W

Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Charles S. Dutton and Lucas Black have signed on to join Paul Bettany in Legion.  The film's plot will follow the archangel Michael and his attempt to defend a group of people who are trying to allow the second coming of Christ to be born.

Even though no official work has begun on the proposed Hobbit films, Ian McKellen has been assured that he will be welcomed back as Gandalf.

The Weinstens have apparently decided that both versions of Fanboys will see release on DVD.  Also, there is some consideration to do the same in theaters.
