I know I'm usually only raving
about myself over Austin Sound, but today is different. We just
finished up our yearly compilation that details 21 of Austin's latest and
greatest that we think will soon be known all over, and you very much need
to go check it out. Do it
now!
Or, if you would prefer to shake it for awhile then I have Creature right
here for your convenience. The Montreal-based act just released their
latest effort, No Sleep At All, this past Tuesday, and I think it's
probably one of the most fun records that's been put out so far in 2008.
I hope that I get to catch a set or two of theirs at SXSW, which is actually
NEXT week. I'm totally freaking out with excitement. You should
be too, whether you'll be attending or not. Enjoy.

- Brigitte Bardot:
"Picture the hottest girl you know in a gold-sparkled bikini
drinking a tall glass of water and getting it all over
herself." This is what it says under the "sounds like"
portion of the band's Myspace, and believe it or not it's
actually the best way to describe this gem. That, or I
guess I could say that somewhere around halfway through it
the sheer amount of pure fun that it pumps out may cause
your head to explode. However, I'm not sure that's as
appealing as the hot-girl-in-a-bikini approach. In any
case, get ready to dance forever.
I'm always
pushing for more humor in videos, and with this first in a
series of 12 it looks like Creature took my suggestion to
heart. Watch it if you're willing and ready to begin
the process of learning how to achieve inner bliss.
