Before I get to Alias I want to let all of you local kids know that down at Guero's tomorrow the First Day Of Summer Fest will be happening from noon to whenever.  I know it will be hot as hell, but I'm certainly going to try to make it since the sizeable lineup of acts set to play for FREE includes the Boxing Lesson, Peel and the Calm Blue Sea - all of which are favorites of mine.  Maybe I'll see you there?  As for Alias, he's got a new full length (what else did you expect?).  I've  honestly never been that into his work, but anytime someone rolls out a single that involves a member of Why? it instantly convinces me that they must be doing something I want to hear.  Resurgam will be out August 28 courtesy of Anticon.  Enjoy.

:Alias - Well Water Black (Featuring Yoni Wolf From Why?):  As I said, I in now way can claim to be an expert on the music that Alias has made throughout the years, so you aren't going to find me talking about this six-minute gem like I know it all.  I will, however, point out that I love the almost overwhelming, but wildly interesting arrangement that he put together to go under Yoni's unique vocal delivery and usual onslaught of collage-like songwriting.  Get ready to ride the only rollercoaster around that requires headphones to fully have a good time.

I've seen a lot of videos in my day, but I don't think I've ever come across anything as weird as what was made for Sixes Last.  Who knew plants could be so creepy?
