As I begin this post the thing
sitting in the back of my mind is that tonight (or tomorrow morning, if you
prefer) I have to be at work at 2am to help run a broadcast. I've done
it before, but it presents a weird issue when dealing with sleep.
Should I take a nap? Or blow snoozing off all together? I can
never decide, so this time around I'm asking you. Now provide a
solution! Alright, before the inevitable doom of work consumes me and
turns me to the dark side I want to provide some Nisennemondai. I'm
not sure how you should pronounce that when you talk with your friends, but
over at Pitchfork they say it means "The Y2K Bug," which is humorous.
Anyhow, they're instrumental, good and have a new album titled Neji/Tori
due out July 29. Enjoy.

- Pop Group:
When this song randomly came through my speakers for the
first time I had to stop what I was doing to see if I had
stumbled upon a Times New Viking b-side or something, as it
certainly has that same pop-song-buried-in-distortion sort
of sound. To be honest, though, I find it a little
strange that an instrumental band would go the way of sloppy
audio quality (especially if they aren't called Lightening
Bolt), but I certainly can't deny that it works rather well.
I mean, I don't even have it playing right now and I'm
tapping my foot and nodding my head just thinking about it.
Expect the same result on your end.
Here are the
ladies being awesome live at Shibuya O-nest back in 2004.
I have absolutely no idea what the title of the song is, but
I do know it's a good one. You should definitely set
aside a bit of time to see this.
