As you may recall, on Monday I asked if anyone had heard anything from One Day As A Lion, which is the new project from Zach De La Rocha and Jon Theodore (ex-Mars Volta drummer).  I don't know what I was expecting people to say about the duo, but on my end I was thinking that maybe it was too little too late for the former/non-former Rage Against The Machine frontman.  Then, of course, before I knew it I had much of the damn EP on repeat.  So, to end the week I have my favorite cut off of the five-track, self titled effort that Anti- recently released.  I hope you're ready to revisit the glory days of when you bounced around your bedroom rocking out to Bulls On Parade like you really understood the lyrics.  Enjoy.

:One Day As A Lion - Wild International:  Admittedly, this really isn't too different than what Rage Against The Machine was doing back in the day.  The music is heavy, but not much so that it's just crunching guitars and pounding drums, and Zach is still very fierce in his delivery and songwriting.  So what makes it worthy of your attention and time?  Nostalgia.  As much as I hate to cop out like that the fact is that I love hearing the previously described sound blasting out of my speakers.  Now excuse me as I wake the neighbors.

One Day As A Lion doesn't necessarily have anything worth seeing on Youtube, so I went with Rage Against The Machine doing Testify at Coachella last year.  Be warned, it has all kinds of shaky cam going on.
