I generally avoid the celebrity
gossip of the world, but this stuff about Christian Bale (aka Batman) getting thrown in
jail for verbally assaulting his mother and his sister seems more and
more bananas the longer I think about it. How does one judge whether
or not something is abusive? Is it all based on what the "victim"
feels is mean or possibly threatening? I need answers! On
a much needed non-scandalous related note, today I'm sharing Grampall Jookabox. Not only does he have the best moniker I've had the
pleasure of seeing in quite some time, but he also just signed to the
almighty Asthmatic Kitty. The very fine label will be releasing GJ's
sophomore effort, Ropechain, in the rather far off month of November.
Enjoy.

Jookabox - The Girl Ain't Preggers:
This song is wild, and I'm not just talking about its
breakneck pace or over the top falsetto quasi-choruses that
will probably take some of you quite a few listens to
appreciate. Nope, it's all in the songwriting, which
is both hilarious and sad in the way that it transitions
from a fear of having to raise an unexpected child to being
bummed out that one isn't coming. If only more artists
had a sense of humor like Grampall Jookabox's to go along
with their worries and such.
Just in case
the song above was a little too much for you I hit up
Youtube in search of something that's a little easier to
swallow, and what I found was Grampall Jookabox doing
Good Country Folk live. It's good, so watch it.
