If you can spare a moment before you read about today's artist then I recommend checking out the limited edition Harold And Maude LP set that the good people over at Light In The Attic Records have put together.  For only $75 you can buy one for yourself and one for me, which is pretty much the best deal ever!  I'll wait by the mailbox.  Now, as a few of you may have noticed Polyvinyl's Someone Still Loves You, Boris Yeltsin have readied a sophomore effort titled Pershing.  I still remember when their debut, Broom, landed on my desk when I was working in college radio.  I was totally expecting it to be overly quirky or strange, but it was just four guys who had made a good pop record.  Hopefully, April 8 will bring more of the same.  Enjoy.

:Someone Still Loves You, Boris Yeltsin - Glue Girls:  Well, if you've ever needed absolute proof that you don't have to be original to be great then this song will do the trick.  There's no brilliantly original songwriting, unique vocals or a wildly creative arrangement.  Nothing!  It's just that kind of gem where everything is done well, and I'm more than OK with that.  You will be too once the catchiness reaches your ears.

It's been quite awhile since I've sat down and gave Broom a good listen, so this video for Pangea has certainly served as a nice reminder of the album's fanciness.  My guess is that it might do the same for you.
