Yesterday I realized something, and it's that there just does not seem to be enough people talking about Kelley Stoltz.  I mean, to me it seems as if everyone should be considering that outside of a new album he also has a stellar resume that includes a stint opening for the Raconteurs, a spot on Sub Pop's roster, and a discography that has releases dating back to 1999.  Is all that not good enough!? Anyhow, I guess there is always a nice chance that the buzz will pick up closer to Circular Sounds release date of February 5.  However, if for some reason it doesn't I will need you to tell all your friends about Kelley and his always quality take on retro-pop.  Consider it a savvy way to get your one charitable act in 2008 out of the way early.  Enjoy.

:Kelley Stoltz - Reverie:  I saw Kelley perform once, and while I don't remember too many details I do know that it was an effortlessly good time.  Coincidently, that's also the best way to describe this gem.  There really isn't too much to pour over, but as soon as the garage-rock enthused music and Kelley's smooth vocals kick in you'll be leaning back, smiling and humming before you know it.

Here is the video for Ever Thought Of Coming Back, which is from Kelley's 2006 effort, Below The Branches.  I think it's a must-hear if you've never before had the pleasure, but if anything I would at least recommend watching for the charming way the piece is shot.
