Hey
Everybody! Before you start looking over the
weekly update I wanted to give you the heads up that
I'm planning on catching screenings of The Signal
and Charlie Bartlett this week, so expect
reviews of those. Also, if my schedule doesn't
become too hectic I'll also try to throw out some
picks for the Academy Awards.

The Rundown -
The Imaginarium
Of Dr. Parnassus will continue onwards with the help
of Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law playing
different versions of Heath Ledger's character.
J.J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot has been delayed
from this Christmas all the way to May 8, 2009.
John Landis (Animal House, Blues Brothers)
has signed on to direct Ghoulishly Yours, William M.
Gaines. The plot will center around Gaines and
his work on publishing the controversial EC Comics
(Tales From The Crypt, Mad Magazine.)
Rumor has it that Al Pacino will be playing the head of
a terrorist group in the upcoming James Bond flick,
Quantum Of Solace.
Upon James Cameron's recommendation, McG has cast Sam
Worthington (Avatar) as Marcus in his planned
Terminator trilogy.
Paul Bettany will star in Legion, which is about
the Archangel Michael and his quest to save a bunch of
humans when God decides to wipe out mankind.
All of the talk about directors and such for Conan
has apparently been worthy of nothing. Word is the
script isn't even finished.
After the Coen brothers shoot A Serious Man they
will move onto a Michael Chabon novel titled The
Yiddish Policemen's Novel. The film will be
noir-esque murder mystery set in Alaska.
As of now there are pretty much no details known about
the project, but the Wachowski brothers next film after
Speed Racer will be something called Ninja
Assassin.
Nick Cassavetes will replace Dakota and Elle Fanning
with Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine) and Sofia
Vassilieva in his new movie, My Sister's Keeper.
Apparently the Fanning sisters were unwilling to shave
their heads.
Michael Bay has said that he has written a script and
designed all the characters for Transformers 2.
The
trailer for
Pineapple Express is out. It looks like it
could be the most epic stoner movie ever made.
Doug Liman (Bourne Identity, Mr. And Mrs.
Smith) is all set to shoot a film based on Valerie
Plame, who was involved in the scandal between Bush and
the CIA. It will star Nicole Kidman.
Rumor has it that Warner Bros has decided to kill off
Batman and Superman by way of Doomsday in the proposed
Justice League Of America film. Filming
supposedly won't start until 2010 though.
Guillermo Del Toro has stated that he has not been
officially attached to The Hobbit, and until the
recent lawsuit filed against New Line is resolved there
will be no more talks.
