Did you guys see that
TV On The Radio
and
Annuals
released new singles this week? They, unfortunately, aren't available
for me to share, but I thought I'd make you aware so that you could give
them a listen. Let me know what you think! Speaking of thinking,
my mind has been working overtime since I moved out to Austin to figure out
what people love so much about White Denim. I still don't have a
reason, but with every show that I catch and with each new single that gets
sent to me I find myself growing ever more attached. Who knows?
Maybe one day I'll actually figure out the exact reason for everyone's
fascination. Anyhow, the song below is from the upcoming Explosion,
which will be out on November 3 via Transmission Entertainment. Enjoy.

Denim - Sitting:
As I shuffled through the band's press release I noticed
that a few of the words used to describe their sound
include: blues, punk, psychedelic, dance, pop, effortless
and not simple (and this was before I even got to the press
quotes). Now, to me none of that makes sense, so for
SOTO's purposes I'm just going to say be ready to hear a
nice bit of quirky pop. Better yet, prepare to
experience the trio at their most playful. That's
right, even with a back catalog packed with spastic
garage-rock tunes that inspire hip-shaking shenanigans, this
catchy/playful number manages to be more light hearted.
