This is so very self serving, but it would utterly fantastic if you kind folks would vote for Side One: Track One in the Austin Chronicle's Reader Poll.  All you have to do is click here, fill out some information and then write me in under the media section for either Local Blogger and/or Local Blog.  Then we'll be best friends forever.  Promise.  Alright, with that out of the way we can get on to bouncing happily to Marnie Stern.  The Kill Rock Stars artist has a new record that carries the unfathomable title of This Is It And I Am It And You Are It And So It That And He Is It And She Is It And It Is It And That Is That, and it's due out on October 7.  My guess is that it should be good, but I wouldn't try to go into the record store asking for it.  You'll just look crazy.  Enjoy.

:Marnie Stern - Transformer:  At just eight seconds over two minutes this gem really doesn't waste any time letting you settle in and get comfortable.  Nope, straight from the start Marnie goes with a Van Halen-esque guitar intro, and then at the moment you think you know what will come next she quickly ratchets up the pace to break neck speed just to see who can keep up.  My recommendation?  Proceed with wild dancing before clicking play since before you realize it you'll be right in step with this wild tune.

Marnie's got a lot of live material on Youtube that's been very poorly recorded, so instead I went with what was officially made for Every Single Line Means Something.  Is it just me or is the video shot like it belongs in the 90s set to some grunge track?
