I'm really not sure how many of you have liked the Saturday Knights' stuff that I've shared over the years, but if you have and would like to download their new album, Mingle, for free then you should most definitely jump over to the Light In The Attic site.  Personally, I think it's a solid effort that's worth buying, so paying nothing for it is real treat.  Don't miss out!  Now, allow me to give you something new from Franz Ferdinand.  From what I've seen here and there it sounds like the song below is in the same boat as the Los Campesinos' one that I posted yesterday - in that it may not end up being on the band's upcoming album.  Whichever the case, I know that I like it, so I'm feeling pretty confident about whatever they've created on their third LP.  Enjoy.

:Franz Ferdinand - Lucid Dreams:  Just so you know, the static-like noise (it sounds like it does when your vinyl is covered in dust or something) that you'll immediately notice was done on purpose.  I have no idea why they did such a thing, but once you begin shaking your hips and singing loud enough to wake the neighbors you won't even notice it.  This is the Franz Ferdinand that swept everyone off their feet with that catchy as hell debut.

As much as I love LCD Soundsystem's original version of All My Friends, I think that deep down I actually dig Franz Ferdinand's cover a little more.  Check it out.
