As usual, I want to recommend a little something before I get to the focus of my love today.  So, if you're in Austin then I invite you to come down to Central Market for the 101X Summer Movie Series.  We'll (I say we because I work in the building) will be showing Ferris Bueller's Day Off for FREE!  That's good stuff.  Plus, it's outside and there's a lot of Blue Moon around.  Alright, Pitchfork posted up a gift yesterday in the form of a new single by the always great Okkervil River.  Their follow-up to last year's The Stage Names is called the The Stand Ins, and it is easily the top record that I'm looking forward to the most in the coming months.  Expect to see it everywhere on September 9 courtesy of Jagjaguwar.  Enjoy.

:Okkervil River - Lost Coastlines:  Well, I can't say that I didn't totally see this coming, but this song is nothing short of amazing.  In fact, I think it's easily the most beautiful pop song that any of us will have the pleasure of hearing in 2008 (and yes, I'm even discarding what may still come).  Will Sheff is epic, the music moves with more energy than I'll ever have and there are a few smooth lines by Shearwaters' Jonathan Meiburg - it's perfect.  Now go listen to this until the album comes out.

Okkervil River certainly doesn't have a shortage of material on Youtube, but I still only went with the video for Our Life Is A Movie Or Maybe.  You know, just in case you forgot how awesome it is.
