If you're curious as to whether or not I managed to see screenings of Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder last week.  I did.  So where are the reviews?  Well, after I saw (and loved) both of them I realized that I wanted to write a bigger piece about their style of humor and such.  Hopefully I'll have it up this week.

Here's the update.  Read on.

- The Rundown -

George Lucas is now saying that he wouldn't make another Indiana Jones without Harrison Ford as the lead.

Speaking of Lucas, he thinks it will be a very long time before anyone sees Star Wars in 3D since he doesn't find the technology to be very "practical".

Natalie Portman may be close to being involved with a remake of Dario Argento's Suspiria.

George Miller recently said that he thought the Justice League movie might be shot next year.

Word has it that Shane Black might be writing Lethal Weapon 5.  The plot would apparently deal with an almost retired Riggs trying to lure an already retired Murtaugh into one last adventure.

Rian Johnson (Brick) has stated that his next directorial effort will be a sci-fi flick called Looper.

Channing Tatum has signed on to appear in Parkour, which is a heist movie that will surely feature a whole slew of amazing athletic feats.

David Goyer recently commented that he doesn't know if his next film will be X-Men Origins: Magneto or The Invisible Man.

Quentin Tarantino has added Brad Pitt, Simon Pegg (in place of Tim Roth), David Krumholtz, Eli Roth and Nastassja Kinski to the cast of Inglorious Bastards.

Rumors are swirling that progress has been inching forward on a sequel to the Goonies.

Sony might be getting close to bringing Flash Gordon to the big screen.  They've hired Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless to write a script.

Ben Barnes is all set for the lead role in Dorian Gray, which is about a man who becomes the subject of a portrait that ages and morphs, but he doesn't.

Nicolas Cage has signed on to star in John Carpenter's prison flick, Scared Straight.
