If for some reason you want to read a little more on the Black Angels new album then you can do so over at Austin Sound, where I wrote a little quip about it.  If not, then I say jump over there anyways to at least take a look at the partial Austin City Limits lineup.  Before you start clicking wildly though, allow me to gently pour some El Perro Del Mar into your ears.  Valley To The Stars is the name of the new full length from the one woman Swedish act that is Sarah Assbring, and it will be arriving on April 22 by way of the Control Group.  She's been quoted as saying that the disc was recorded as "free and as organic as possible," and that "many takes are first ones."  Sounds pretty adventurous to me.  Enjoy.

:El Perro Del Mar - Glory To The World:  "Look at the clouds today/They sure got funny shapes."  Every time that I listen to Sarah quietly repeat that line at the beginning of this gem I can't help but think about how well it matches up with everything.  Not necessarily in a literal music is like clouds and is what you make of it kind of fashion, but more because I can actually imagine laying out in a field on a nice day, staring into the sky and making shapes out of the clouds.  If this doesn't make you want to lounge around and live somewhat like a hippy then you should try taking a little time off from being uptight.

Here is a nicely animated video for the song God Knows (You Gotta Give To Get).  I think it's an all around charming piece, but outside of that there really isn't anything else that's going to inspire much more than one or two viewings.
