Go Kansas! Actually, to
be honest I was sort of rooting for Memphis. I have no reason as to
why I was, but that's who I had my imaginary money on. Too bad about
that whole silly free throw thing turning out to be important, right?
Who knew!? Anyhow, today I have a great headphone artist in Miles
Benjamin Anthony Robinson. Or, as I like to call him, Miles B.
He's from New York and his upcoming self titled debut was produced by Kyp
Malone (TV On The Radio) and Chris Taylor (Grizzly Bear). That's some
rather fine company to have sitting next to you in the studio, so before I
even listened to a song I was under the impression that Miles B was a
talented guy. I was right. Expect to see his full length on
store shelves July 1 via Say Hey Records. Enjoy.

Benjamin Anthony Robinson - Buriedfed:
Buried deep in the press release that accompanied this song
was a short sentence describing it as a demented campfire
sing-a-long. At first it made me laugh out loud, but
after a few listens I think it's actually pretty accurate.
Though, I imagine it as something that would start out
around a campfire with everyone watching intently, and then
the longer it goes on the further it descends into a
raucous, emotional rant that leaves everyone's jaws on the
floor and feeling awkward. That, of course, would then
be defined by the line: "Aw shit man/I don't even care."
Yeah, it would definitely go something like that.
Aside from the
fact that this video is grainy as hell and littered with
various moments of chatter and weird camera angles, it's
pretty good. I just wish that I knew what song he was
doing. Anyone know?
