Before
I get to the weekly rundown I'm curious as to
whether or not you guys are interested in reviews of
films that have already been released. For
instance, let's say something comes out on Friday,
and after seeing it I post a little something about
it up during the weekend. My original plan was
to only review screenings that I attend, but as of
late those have been few and far between.
Shoot me an email or a leave a comment!
Here are the goods. Read on.

The Rundown -
Sean
Connery has reportedly stated interest in returning to
the Bond series as a villain.
Plan B, Brad Pitt's production company, has scooped up
the rights to Lost City Of Z. If made, the
film would follow Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett and his
attempt to discover the lost Amazon city in 1925.
Dimension has acquired the rights to do a remake of
Short Circuit. The writers of the original
will pen the script.
Denzel Washington has been attached to appear in The
Matarese Circle, which is a Robert Ludlum (the
Bourne series) novel from the late 70s about two
rival secret agents who are forced to work together.
No word yet on a studio, a director or even how Denzel
came across the project before any of the previously
mentioned things were put into place.
With shooting set to begin in July a few little details
have begun to leak out in regards to Transformers 2.
Apparently, the Constructicons and Devastator will be
making an appearance.
Stuart Beattie (Collateral) has reportedly
written a Halo script.
Mos Def has been cast as Chucky Berry in the upcoming
Cadillac, which is about the lives of those involved
with Chess Records. Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright
and Beyonce Knowles are also set to appear in the film.
Universal is planning to do a biopic on Neil Armstrong
that is based on the book, First Man: The Life Of
Neil A. Armstrong.
Michael Mann has added Billy Crudup to the cast of
Public Enemies. He will play J. Edgar Hoover.
Edgar Wright has signed a two picture deal with Working
Title. Baby Driver will be released first,
and it is suppose to be a crazy mix of action and crime.
The World's End, which was co-written by Simon
Pegg, is the other film. It will complete their
trilogy of comedy flicks (the other two being Shaun
Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz).
Matthew McConaughey has reportedly been offered the role
of Thomas Magnum in the big screen adaptation of the
Magnum P.I. TV series.
Rumor has it that Brendan Fraser (Gung Ho) and the Rock
(Shipwreck) both have cameos in the Stephen Sommer's
directed G.I. Joe.
Instead of doing a third Bill & Ted's flick,
which is something Keanu Reeves has expressed interest
in, it looks like the original will instead be remade.
Kevin Munroe has decided not to direct Gatchaman
for the Weinsteins in favor of Dylan Dog, which
is an Italian comic about a nightmare investigator.
Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) is set to star.
