That's right, I'm here.
If you were worried that I might not make it back from my car stereo
installation adventure then I thank you for your concern. Your good
will probably helped me not do anything totally retarded. On a related
note, I laugh in the face of those who had no confidence. Now, let's
keep it local again today by way of the Lovely Sparrows. The last time
that I ran into Jon Rooney, who is the main brain behind Abandoned Love
Records, I nagged to be treated to something new from the band, and now he
has finally come through with a tune from the upcoming Bury The Cynics.
I'm expecting Shawn Jones and friends to make a splash on July 8, so trust
me when I say it's a good idea to grab a seat on the bandwagon now.
Enjoy.
:The
Lovely Sparrows - Department Of Foreseeable Outcomes:
If you asked me to provide only one reason to listen to this
I wouldn't bother with nifty comparisons and overly
elaborate explanations. Nope, you only need to know
that you will not find a listen anywhere that comes off as
warm and familiar as this gem. It's comfortable,
intimate and it genuinely feels like something you've been
adoring for as long as you can remember. Most artists
never even come close to achieving that sort of
accessibility, and that's why I can't help but think that it
just doesn't get much better than this. July won't get
here soon enough.
As I always
say, if there isn't anything that's music oriented on Youtube then at least give the kids a
little something to ponder about. So, I present to you
the Lovely Sparrows' quick chat with the Daytrotter guys
about Rolfing. Watch, learn and/or ignore
completely.
