Do me a favor and stay away from the Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford.  I saw it last night and it was easily the most mediocre film I've seen in a long time.  Go see something that's actually exciting and/or interesting.  That's what I did once I got home after the screening.  Well, actually I went with fun by way of audio instead of video.  More specifically, brand spanking new Buck 65 (aka Rich Terfry).  The Nova Scotia native is one of my favorite hip hop artists, and he has put together a new full length titled Situation, which is due out October 30 on Sage Francis' label, Strange Famous.  Rich has yet to do anything even remotely bad, so I'm 100% sure that the 1957-themed disc is going to be one of my favorites of the year.  Enjoy.

:Buck 65 - Shutter Buggin':  Oddly enough, this is probably the most hip hop thing I've heard from Rich in long while.  He had been kind of leaning towards a more electronic, bluesy kind of sound, especially on his Dirty Work EP.  Now, I haven't heard all of Situation, so I suppose it's possible that this song may be more of an exception than anything.  But, regardless of how it fits in on the new disc this is a crafty track that showcases exactly what made me a fan in first place: witty songwriting that's catchy and memorable.

I was hoping to find something from the new album floating around on Youtube, but I had no luck.  So instead I went with one of my favorite Buck 65 songs.  It's called Wicked And Weird and it's from an album titled Talkin' Honkey Blues.
