Considering both their
appearance in Monday's EP and today as the featured artist it would seem as
if the trio known as Mobius Band have taken my life and my blog over.
Fortunately, I'm perfectly fine with that. In fact, I'm so OK with it
that I want it to be known that Peter Sax, Noam Schatz and Ben Sterling make
up the only band ever featured here to achieve such a quick transition (two
days) from brief mention to full ramble. Clearly, I'm excited about
their upcoming album, Heaven, which as previously mentioned is their
sophomore effort and is due out on Misra Records on October 2. If you
liked the song from Monday's EP then I know for a fact you'll feel the same
way about the newly leaked one below. Enjoy.

Band - Friends Like These:
It's a little hard here to not be distracted by the almost dance-worthy beat
that lies beneath the myriad of electronic beeps and blips that the
arrangement consists of. But, the impulse to move your hips will pass
and your attention will inevitably be shifted to the mellow vocals and the disheartening
songwriting, which has lines like: "I don't blame you/You were only looking
out for yourself" and "I gave you warning/But you weren't having what I
said." Ouch.
I realize that
some of you may have missed out on this trio's last effort,
The Loving Sounds Of Static, so I hit up Youtube and
found this video for the title track. Don't be
surprised when it inspires you to seek out the album in
physical form.
