At this point it would appear that I have no choice but to strongly recommend that you make an effort to see the magnificent 3:10 To Yuma remake this weekend, especially since The Brothers Solomon was more than a little silly and, from what I hear, Shoot Em' Up is nothing more than a solid action movie.  Also, I have to recommend that make sure to have the music I have for you today blasting out of your speakers whenever you make your way to your local theater.  It's from the brand new self titled full length from Two Gallants that's due out on Saddle Creek Records on September 25.  I've been loving it to death for about a week now and I think you'll feel the same way once you get a taste of it from the song/video combo below.  Enjoy.

:Two Gallants - Despite What You've Been Told:  The new album is a great listen from beginning to end, but when this song comes on I can't help but to put it on repeat at least two or three times before I can move onto the ones after it.  One part of me blames such craziness on the fact that I love the arrangement, which is simultaneously simple, beautiful. and full of tension.  The other part blames Adam Stephens' emphatic delivery of lines like: "God forgive your unborn sons/I hope they don't end up like me."  I suppose whichever is more responsible doesn't matter though, as the fact of the matter is that I can't get this out of my head.  You won't be able too either.

Here's a video for song titled Steady Rollin', which is from What The Toll Tells.  It isn't much more than a compilation of their live performances, but I think it does well in providing a hint of the level of energy and passion that can be expected when you attend a Two Gallants show.
