One of the real treats of my experience at Austin City Limits was seeing a very humble Regina Spektor perform with what was probably the biggest smile I've ever seen, and I was in the back and not looking at the big screen.  Adorable is probably an understatement.  Here is the video for Better.

:SOTO - Episode 32:  Outside of wondering why in the world the RIAA would seek over $220,000 for 24 songs that some lady had in a random folder, I have some news and notes, and music from Sally Shapiro, Band In Box, Oh! Sweet Music, Wiretree, Swivel Chairs, and the Forms.  Clearly, this week's show is stuffed.  Enjoy.

On a show related side note, I saw the Lucksmiths at Emo's Lounge this past Thursday.  If you remember, I recently posted up a song from an upcoming compilation that they have, and I commented that I didn't know much about them.  Well, after seeing them I would really like to know all that I can, as those four put on a set full of glorious indie pop.  I was bouncing my head the whole time, and I didn't even really know any of the songs; that's always a sign of a artist that knows how to entertain.

Their tour is over and they're now on their way back to Australia, but if you get the chance to see them then I would highly recommend doing so.

Also, the Narrow Escapes, Our Solar System and Yellow Fever were the bands that opened.  The Narrow Escapes had a sort of bizarre pop sound, but I thought it was solid.  Our Solar System had some great songs, but the frontman was a little too sarcastic to a crowd that wasn't feeling the need to be overly involved.  The real pleasure of the night though was Yellow Fever, who sound like a slick version of Land Of Talk.  You need to check them out as soon as possible.
