:The Salty Pirates - Common Sense: Unless your dead, the slow building 45-second intro is good enough to win you over before you even hear one lyric; the catchy guitar work is especially nice. Fortunately, it only gets better once the vocals slide in. I love how they are deeply rooted with a distinct mid-90s indie rock feel, and all of the harmony provided by the lovely lady in the band is just as good. This one is highly recommended. :The Salty Pirates - The Guy You Talk With: "I'm the guy you talk with about the guys you sleep with." I will assume that every guy that reads this blog has can probably relate to this song, and that alone merits a download. For those of you that can't relate, you still get an upbeat and slightly fuzzed up Pavement-esque pop number that offers a plentiful supply of nifty one-liners. This is the song that you will inevitably find stuck in your head for the rest of the week.
