Since I have spent the first part of the week catching up on stuff I figured I would go ahead and do the same today by finishing up my coverage of SXSW with a ramble about Hello Stranger.  I saw the keytar-lead pop quartet play in Austin and after instantly falling in love I have been listening to them on repeat.  Now, the band released their latest self titled effort way back last summer but for once we are going to set aside being ahead of the curve in favor of stepping back to look at what some of us may have missed.  If you are one of the many that are already on the Hello Stranger bandwagon I would suggest revisiting the band's music so that you can at least join in with the rest of us as we dance away our day to the songs below.  Enjoy.

:Hello Stranger - Take It To The Maxx:  This is one of the most perfect pop songs ever constructed.  The music is clearly designed to get you moving with its groovy baseline, nifty keytar riffs and just the right amount of synth.  What I love the most about this song though is Juliette Commagere's vintage pop voice and how it really does a great job of bringing everything together.  Download this now.

:Hello Stranger - Her In These Lights:  Given that I could copy and paste the ramble above next to this song and have it fit perfectly I suppose I should have picked another song.  On the other hand I absolutely love how every second of this makes me feel nostalgic about the pop music I use to hear on the radio as a kid.  You're probably dead if you can't find anything to like in Hello Stranger.
