Proving that there is more music out there than one can possibly fathom I bring to you an artist that has released over ten EPs and two full lengths, all of which I didn't even know existed.  The band I speak of is Georgia's Je Suis France, who have been together since the late 90s and are now on the verge of releasing their third LP titled Afrikan Magik.  The disc has some incredibly good prog pop dipped indie rock created and performed by nine overwhelmingly talented people, six of which have been making music together since the project was born.  Keep an eye out for this one when it drops on May 29 courtesy of Antenna Farm Records.  I think it might end up being one of my (maybe yours too?) favorite discoveries of 2007.  Enjoy.

:Je Suis France - That Don't Work That Well For Us:  When comparing this song to Whalebone there is lot that is different between the two.  This is more of a streamlined indie pop effort that you will probably find yourself instantly in love with because of how accessible it is.  I find myself repeatedly smitten with the soft vocals that spew out lyrical gems like: "We are coming from these different towns/Making the sounds that are going round/You want to stand/You want to push us down/That don't work that well for us."

:Je Suis France - Whalebone:  This one is kind of weird.  The first two minutes contain a pretty standard slow build but then it launches into a sort of mid-70s art rock sound, which works rather well but feels so very opposite of what the band gives you in the song above.  I hope this kind of diversity is an indication of what we can expect on the album.
