Being unemployed and having
free time can lead to strange happenings. For instance, I spent a part
of the afternoon yesterday watching You Got Served. Sure, it
did provide me with two hours of uncontrollable laughter, but I'm fairly
certain a little part of me died because of it. Thank whoever that I
have a couple of interviews lined up this week. Also, thank that very
same whoever (in this case its actually Skatterbrain) for this weeks latest
Swedish sensation, Club 8. The duo is made up of Karolina Komstedt (Poprace)
and Johan Angergard (Acid House Kings, Poprace) and they have been making
music together for the last 12 years. I have no idea how I've missed
out for so long, but I plan on catching up before their new LP drops
sometime later this year. Enjoy.

8 - Whatever You Want:
Karolina's voice is going to have you head over heels crazy by the time you
finish listening to this for the first time. Still, it's not her that
makes this such a good song. it's the number of little details that have
been perfectly placed in the arrangement. I love the clusters of hand
claps that suddenly take you by surprise, the 80s synth pop undertones are
great and, most importantly, it makes you feel like your strolling through
the park with a lollipop in your mouth.
Below is the
video for a song titled Love In December, which is
from the duo's self titled LP from 2001. I wouldn't
advise watching this at work since its magical sound will
probably send your ass into space land for the rest of the
day and cause you to incur various productivity related
issues.
