I don't know if I will actually make it, but I'm going to try to keep the rock and not pop theme of yesterday going for at least a week.  Sure, I could probably go on much longer than that, but I think there's too much pop to ignore and not enough interesting rock to love, so for the sake of quality I'm not going to push my luck.  Anyhow, let's talk Spanish For 100.  The Seattle-based quartet came about in 2002 and since then they've seen a couple of releases, a few different lineups and whole lot of time on spent on the road.  Now, they're set to release their brand new full length, Say What You Want To Me, sometime in September for Fish The Cat Records.  Expect it to be one of those records that somehow always end up blasting out of your stereo.  Enjoy.

:Spanish For 100 - Attack:  Corey Passions and Aaron Starkley's half indie rock, half post punk guitar work in this is fantastic.  I mean, not only does it match up well with the frenetic sounds of Passions vocal delivery and Chris Crumpler's drumming, but it manages to trump the both of them in the raw energy output department.  Use this nifty tune to really get your day jumpstarted.

:Spanish For 100 - Say What You Want To Me:
This is another guitar driven piece of rock, but it's definitely a lot more accessible for those of you who are just looking for something that's cool to throw down a rock pose to.  Personally, I find that the song's fist pumping nature reminds me a lot of Criteria's sophomore effort, When We Break, especially in the way that the lyrics are so emphatically expressed by Passions.
