I don't know how it all went down for you guys, but I feel as if this week took an eternity and a half to end.  So, because of the overly lame, prolonged experience I shifted my ramble on the glorious Calvin Harris from Monday to today in order to end the week with a much needed dose of super excitement.  That's right, super excitement.  It's pretty much the only reaction that the 23 year old Scottish phenom is capable of generating throughout the course of his amazingly fun debut for Almost Gold Recordings, I Created Disco.  If you can somehow manage to resist doing some serious ass shaking to this, at least take a second to marvel at the fact that Calvin made the album in his bedroom on an old Amiga computer.  Enjoy.

:Calvin Harris - Acceptable In The 80s:  "My tunes aren't suppose to invoke deep thought within people; they're just to get you dancing."  Well, there is nothing in this gem that mentally takes away from the overwhelming physical need to spastically move my hips, so I'm going to say that Calvin is a man true to his word.  Though, you could place lyrics that detail the meaning of life in this and it still wouldn't spur any sort of critical thinking; the sugary sweet synths are just too fun to ignore.

This video is for The Girls, which is one of my favorite songs on the album.  It's a real guilty pleasure kind of track and the quirky synchronized dancing amongst the ladies in the piece works brilliantly.  Feel free to assimilate all the dance moves.
