:Arizona - Thimble: This is one quirky pop song. Parts of it. like the light hearted vocal delivery and the sweeping, playful harmonies that will inevitably stick in your head, sound pretty status quo for the genre, but then there are moments in which it suddenly revs up into flurry of pure indie rock and catches you off guard. I think it all makes for an exciting listen, especially since the guys sound like they're having a great time keeping listeners on their toes. Expect to see this everywhere soon.
It's videos like the one below that really make me love YouTube. It's just the band in some poorly lit apartment in Brooklyn playing a song together. I have no idea if anyone was there with them, or if the neighbors were wondering who the hell was crooning next door. I just know that it's an incredibly intimate performance of Through The Soot, which is from the aforementioned album Welcome Back Dear Children, and that it's not something that would ever be shown on TV.
