I was going to wait until at least March to ramble about the brand new Cloud Cult album, The Meaning Of 8, but I love it so much that I decided to go ahead and share it.  The band's last effort, Advice From The Happy Hippopotamus, still completely blows my mind to this day and while I thought it would be a steep task to make something superior, it very much looks like Craig Minowa and Co. one-upped themselves.  The songs below are stellar and if afterwards you are in need of more I would recommend checking out the band's Myspace and their new song rotation thing they have going on, or purchasing the album in Mp3 or physical form directly from the band's website way before it will be available on April 10.  Both options are win-win in my opinion.

:Cloud Cult - Take Your Medicine:  One of the things I liked most about the band's last album was how simplistic it felt.  On this I very much love the fact that everything still feels simple but now there are all kinds of beautiful Arcade Fire type layers in the music and the vocal work that really make for an amazingly lush sound.  Download this NOW.

:Cloud Cult - Chemicals Collide:  "Oh God It's Unforgettable"  This lyric pretty much sums up my feelings on this song.  The slow build to the climax at the 1:30 mark is really great and the last minute makes me feel like I should run through a big field with my arms wide open.  This is once again something that really needs to be heard as soon as possible.
