A small part of me really hates
that I'm rambling about the new Band Of Horses single since I know good and
well that everyone and their mother's mother will be doing the same thing in
the coming days. But, it's so completely different than what I was
expecting I just had to share a thought or two on it. Plus, the band's
debut, Everything All The Time, was a favorite of mine last year and
I feel a tiny bit of obligation to at least be proactive in keeping up with
their new material, which honestly doesn't actually require much effort on
my part. Anyway, the group's highly anticipated sophomore album,
Cease To Begin, is currently set to hit store shelves on October 9 via
Sub Pop. I'm thinking it's going to be pretty good. Enjoy.

Of Horses - Is There A Ghost:
Do not expect this to be anything like Everything All The Time.
The music is very guitar driven and much more upbeat, so the fact that it's
a quick burst of pop rock is going to dazzle you a whole more than whatever
Ben Bridwell has coming out of his mouth. For some of you that will be
an instant turnoff, but for others it will open the door to appreciating the
band even more. I mean, did anyone really want them to make the same
damn album again? I know I sure didn't.
I had never
seen this video for Funeral until I stumbled across
it on Youtube yesterday, but the jittery, flashback-esque
style used is somehow exactly what I always imagined the
song would match up perfectly with. Weird.
