Well my friends in the craziest of events I believe that the new site will actually be able to launch on Monday.  I spent all of yesterday combating problem after problem but it is almost where I want it and after another day or two or work it will be ready to launch for all of your browsing pleasure.  Outside of the blasted site I spent a large portion of yesterday wondering why I was never really into the first Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah album.  For some reason, despite the fact that tons of people adore it, that album just didn't do much for me and while I can't say that it ever really will I am genuinely pumped about the band's next disc, Some Loud Thunder, which drops on January 30.  Who knows, maybe it took an entire day of staring at my computer screen in disgust to wake me up to the greatness that is Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah, enjoy the music.

:Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah - Love Song No 7:  Personally I think this song is spectacular, especially when it comes down to talking about Alec Ounsworth's voice.  Maybe at some subconscious level he was the reason I wasn't into that first album but in this song I find him to be amazing.  On the other hand I think his voice only works in the context of the song so if you let it distract you then you will miss out on the vintage pop goodness that is at the core of Love Song No. 7.

:Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah - Underwater (You And Me):  I love how enjoyable this song is, Love Song No. 7 requires you to work a little to love it but Underwater (You And Me) requires nothing but ears.  The vintage pop sound is still very prevalent in the song but this time Alec is not even remotely distracting, in fact he is beyond accessible.  This song is impressive and it definitely has me curious as to what the rest of the album will sound like.
