After reading that the Scissor Sisters are getting ready to jaunt
across North America (Why no Texas dates?) and hearing their new single I
absolutely felt an overwhelming need to re-visit their debut album. Now that
I have revived my SS love I must say that I am not sure which band I prefer;
the disco "Comfortably Numb" covering one, the mellow "Return to Oz" one, or
the novelty-esque "Take Your Mama" one. It's all so confusing but after
hearing their new single it seems like maybe they have a found a nice
balance which in all honestly makes me too excited to hear the new disc all
the way through. The new LP, "Ta-Dah," drops September 26 on Polydor
Records.
