Kiwi Jr. – Undecided Voters
Sub Pop have signed Kiwi Jr. and they’ll be putting out the band’s next full length in 2021. On a different note, I appreciate that this hyper-relevant-named track (that’s also super catchy) got its release on the day of the first Biden-Trump debate.
Peach Kelli Pop – Stupid Girl
In just about a week (October 7), Peach Kelli Pop will release an EP called Lucky Star. Both of the singles so far have been immensely pleasant.
Deerhoof – Love-Lore
You know what’s surprisingly great? This just-released-today album from Deerhoof that features the band covering 43 songs in 35 minutes. It’s one of the more creative and fun things I’ve come across this year.
Three great picks. I never would have recognized the Deerhoof tracks as being covers because they are so obscure. Funny that two of the songs I do recognize (Eddy Grant and Gary Numan) are mashed together for about five seconds.
