Molybden (Single Premiere)

Back in February I was introduced to Austin’s own Molybden via a nice track titled Woman Left Behind, and ever since then I’ve been wondering how/when she would follow it up.  Well, now I know.  The singer/songwriter has put together series of live recordings that were done in various bedrooms and living rooms.  As she notes, “I decided to do this in the interim of recording my next full-length album, Long Lance. There are a handful of songs that don’t belong on an album, but that I love playing live. Releasing those songs as Bedroom Recordings gives them a home, a voice. Take It is the first song in this series, recorded by Kyle Ellison (Meat Puppets, Pariah) in his living room.”

Take It, which I’m happy to be premiering today, clocks in at just over two and a half minutes, but in that short amount of time Molybden is as entrancing as can be as she softly rambles off a variety of intriguing tidbits.  You’re going to like it.  Enjoy.

Keep an eye on Molybden’s Bandcamp for more songs from her new series.
