Cautiontape (Jennifer)

July 30, 2014

Local indie pop rock quartet Cautiontape have been writing songs and honing their sound for the past year. The band is the latest project featuring songwriters and vocalists Jason Garcia (ex-Household Names, ex-Pow Pow) and Britani Kagan (ex-Petals).

They’ve recently started recording songs for their debut EP, How We Shine, with Austin music veterans Robert Harrison (Cotton Mather, Future Clouds and Radar) and George Reiff, as producer and engineer respectively. Their keyboard-oriented pop grooves reveal their influences and musical nods┬áto bands such as Metric and The Cardigans.

The band is reaching out to fans and friends for support on Indiegogo as they raise funds for recording costs; they’re hoping to finish the record by the end of September and then release it before the end of the year.
