The Austin based Ghetto Ghouls are a science experiment gone horribly right. They were created in a superlab located directly under Beerland. A mad scientist mixed together bits of the Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Parquet Courts, and Metz to create this diabolical masterpiece of a band. No one plays a raucous style of stripped down Texas garage punk band quite like these freaks. Okay, maybe OBN IIIs, but that’s it. No one else.
You can check out Ghetto Ghouls’ self titled album in its entirety over at Pitchfork right now. It’s absolutely packed with furious howlers and noisy jams, and you need it in your life.
